Life In The Shallows, exhibition by Ed Allan Life In The Shallows
Sat 14th Feb – Sat 28th Feb

Based upon the primordial and baser aspects of human nature (especially in view ofour colonial past). In this exhibition Ed Allan presents a series of paintings and drawings on paper and wood in various media with 3D dioramas on a smaller scale, from steaming tropics and lonely desert plains, to fear of the unknown; from abusive to the banal.

Brush and Pen by Robert Tavener Brush and Pen
Thurs 5th March – Tues 17th March

Robert Tavener (1920-2004) is well known for his printmaking but throughout his career he explored also watercolour painting and pen and ink drawing, as well as beautiful observational pencil drawings. This exhibition is a rare opportunity to see his relatively small number of paintings and drawings, many of which will be available for sale.

Maia Eden's inspiration behind this exhibition are the mementos that people keep packed away; hidden in attics and cupboards and the surrounding stories and events along with the people that have created this deep connection with them. Exhibition includes photography, drawing, metal and collage. Maia will be making objects in the gallery throughout the exhibition.

Rachel Clark - Works On Paper Rachel Clark - Works On Paper

Inspiration drawn from travels in London and the South East including Lewes, Brighton and Hastings are the basis for this solo exhibition. The spontaneity found in Clark’s sketchbook will be obvious in the larger drawings, whilst a deep sense of mood is captured in her charcoal, ink and pastel work.
